Manufacturing-X strengthens resilience, sustainability and competitiveness along the entire value and supply chain.

The initiative creates a data ecosystem that connects industrial value chains across sectors and countries. In this data ecosystem, companies can share data securely, confidently and directly thanks to common standards and guidelines. This enables them to produce more efficiently, meet compliance requirements more quickly and develop new, data-based business models.  

The "X" stands for collaboration to increase added value and profitability. This results in innovations, resilient supply chains and sustainable, competitive production processes. 

The initiative is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
